Manager Market Research Operations | Segmedica | Tonawanda, NY

An entrepreneurial full service, healthcare marketing research firm located in Tonawanda, New York seeks a professional responsible for maintaining databases of consumers and medical professionals and recruiting for our studies. Segmedica has been in business since 2003 providing professional market research services to the top pharma and medical device companies around the world. With a reputation for being innovative and highly dedicated to our craft, we have grown tremendously, doubling our staff in the last 3 years.

As manager it will be your responsibility to ensure that our standards for quality and professionalism are maintained at all times. This involves:

Working on and overseeing project respondent recruitment which involves the following:
  • Setup and management of databases to support the recruitment efforts and maintain critical data.
  • Building and maintaining panels of consumers and medical professionals
  • Scheduling and management of staff
  • Respondent verification and recruitment
  • External facility preparation
  • Telephone systems and related software to manage a small call center operation, temporary personnel and equipment

The successful candidate must be able to communicate well with others and have supervisory experience. This position requires a high degree of precision as well as a very positive and proactive attitude. We are seeking a very goal oriented person who is not afraid of hard work and long hours.

The position requires a solid understanding of basic business principles and a fundamental knowledge of database setup and maintenance. The management of respondent data will need advanced knowledge of Excel and Access or other database programs. Experience using some or all of these programs is absolutely required for this position. Experience working with a CRM system is a big plus.

Requirements:
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Very detail oriented but able to see and carry out the big picture
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (to be tested)
  • Advanced computer skills. Advanced user of all MS Office software (Excel, -Access, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint) Additional skills using Access, SPSS or CRM programs are highly desirable
  • Creative thinker, problem solver and adaptable to new concepts or ideas
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a history of personnel management experience
  • Flexible work schedule and willing to go the extra mile to ensure the business is running smoothly at all times
  • Minimum 5 years work experience
  • Minimum 4 year degree
